MotorVac CarbonClean System Improves Performance, Mileage and Emissions Reduction.
Here's Why Skyway Auto Tune uses the MotorVAc
CarbonClean System
The MCS 245 is the first gasoline engine system of its kind
to
clean the fuel system. When used with MotorVac’s proprietary
Fuel System Cleaning Detergents, the MCS 245 system cleans
the air plenum, throttle body, air bypass valve, injectors, valves,
combustion chambers, oxygen sensor and catalytic converters
without having to remove any engine components.
How MotorVac CarbonClean Works
MotorVac’s two-line cleaning system connects to the
engine
using vehicle specific adapters, temporarily replacing the
vehicles fuel system. During the first cleaning phase (with the
engine off) the system circulates MotorVac’s powerful yet safe
proprietary cleaning MV3 detergent mixed with gasoline through
the components of the engines fuel system. This phase safely
dissolves contaminants, gum and varnish deposits, capturing
them in the unit’s ten micron filter. The air intake plenum,
throttle body and intake runners are cleaned utilizing the ICS
kit in conjunction with the foaming MV4 detergent. During the
second cleaning phase (engine running), the injector screens,
intake & exhaust valves, top of pistons, combustion chamber,
oxygen sensor, and catalytic converter are cleaned. This safely
dissolves and removes most of the soft carbon deposits,
passing them harmlessly out with the exhaust.
MotorVac Proven Effective

The proper steps in fuel injector system service are:
Check fuel pump operating pressure and volume.
Test pressure regulator for operation and leakage.
Flush entire fuel rail and upper fuel injector screens to include pressure
regulator.
Clean fuel injectors.
Decarbon engine assembly.
Clean throttle plate and idle air control (IAC) passages.
Check minimum air flow rate and adjust if needed.
Relearn onboard computer.
All eight steps may be performed using one
of the "two-line" fuel
injector service units. (MotorVac, Carbon Clean, Injector Test and DeCarbon)

How do you get a flooded FUEL INJECTED car to start?
Push the gas pedal all
the way to the floor and then turn the key. Flooding is when
your car is cold, it needs a very rich fuel mixture in order to start ("rich" means
lots of gas and very little air). But if all that gas pours into the cylinders,
and for some reason the engine doesn't start the spark plugs can get
all wet. When they get too wet they can't make sparks and the car won't
start.
When a carbureted car is flooded
Floor the gas pedal while you turn the key.
That opens the throttle and to some extent the choke and sends in as much air
as possible. On a fuel injected car you also floor the gas pedal while turning
the key. But what you're doing is sending a message to the computer which
controls the fuel-air mixture. When you press the gas pedal to the floor in
the "crank mode" when the engine is trying to start, you let the
computer know that the engine is flooded and the computer automatically cuts
the fuel flow in half. These methods will work if the engine is slightly flooded.
But if you've flooded it badly by repeatedly trying to start it or if it's
flooding due to some other problem there's not much you can do on your own
except wait or call a tow truck.
