When it comes to your brakes there are a large range of options that will effect both cost and quality.

There are two types of brakes, there are Drum and Disc. Practically all newer cars come with Disc brakes. Disc brakes are cost effective and very reliable. They are excellent at stopping a vehicle and fairly easy to replace. Disc brakes are used on 90% of the vehicles on the road.

Brake pads- There are so many levels of brake pads for each application that it is mind boggling. For one car you could buy a 20.00 set of pads or a 100.00 set. The difference will be obvious in appearance but more importantly in stopping power, longevity, brake dusting and noise.
